Calling All Creative Minds!

Join us at the Bellingen River Youth Festival for a hands-on Zine Creation Workshop, where we’ll co-design a free, fold-out resource packed with essential local contacts for youth. From mental health hotlines and free GP clinics to housing support and transport info, we’ll brainstorm the most useful services to have at your fingertips.

This youth-led project will ensure the final professionally printed guide is practical, relevant, and easily accessible.

Guided by local comic artist Richard Sampson and the Happymess Studio Art Therapy team, you'll also have the chance to bring these resources to life through comics and illustrations. Your artwork could be featured in the final publication!

Open to ages 12+, this workshop is proudly funded by Bellingen Council and hosted by OzGreen. Don’t miss this chance to create, collaborate, and shape something truly useful for the youth of Bellingen!

survey for community groups

The Bellingen Youth Hub is also running a short survey for community members and local groups who are interested in contributing ideas, time, skills, or resources to support the Upgrade project.

Let’s build something great together.

We need people to help on the planting, at the activity tents and with set up and pack down.

In the recent YouthSpeak survey, one of the major requests from young people was for more activities, events and music festivals for young people.

Together, let’s make this happen for our young people!

Step 1 : Read the Volunteer Agreement

Step 2 : Register at the link below :

#ourriversourfuture

This is a no-swim, no smoke and no alcohol event. If you choose to swim, it is at your own risk.

Parents/guardians are responsible after young people leave this event and/or it finishes.

In the case of wet weather, the event will move to the Bellingen Youth Hub.
